Worked Great!

Purchased this to go under a roof top carrier. I wasn't sure we needed this after reading some of the reviews saying that it was like the shelf liner that you buy at X-Mart. However this is NOT like shelf liner. This is way thicker, sturdier and a much better quality product. We drove through lots of crazy rain and hail and it never moved, got slick or had any wear problems. I'm very happy we bought this and would recommend buying this and not going with the shelf liner to protect your vehicle.

A necessary item.

I would not place a cargo pack on my car roof without this item. I do not care how often the manufacture says it is OK. For this price, why take a chance? This item sticks to the roof and peels off without leaving a mark. It helps stabilize the cargo pack too. They recommend you cut the pad to the size of the pack I did not and found no real problems. This pack needs to be reseated every couple of days. If not, wind will lift it and create a "tapping" sound at speeds above 60 mph.

I thought about using a blanket on my car top, but if it rained, that would be messy. This mat does the job it was designed for - protect the car from getting scratched, and keeping the bag from sliding around on the roof.
