5Very Substantial
By Ed
Bought this for our grandson who was moving from central Calif. to Seattle. He has a Kia Rio, very small car, and did not have near enough room for his belongings. We attached this to the top of the car with a piece of carpet non slip material between the car roof and the carrier. Opened the car doors and ran the straps through the inside of the car as there was nothing to attach them to on the outside. It worked perfectly and he was able to load the carrier with all of his clothes etc. It was full! The Rightime is made of really heavy duty fabric, has flaps with Velcro over the zippers to prevent leakage in the rain. He ran into foul weather on his trip, all of his belongings in the carrier remained dry on the trip. For a small car I would highly recommend this product for quality, durability and being able to store it in a small space.....solved his travel problem!

4Good Product Bad Directions
By Stephanie Johnston
Okay I wanted to write a review mainly to help someone install it on your vehicle. I have an Impala with no roof racks. I purchased the mat for underneath the carrier (which is absolutely necessary). I had read from some other reviews that it was easy to install so I waited to figure it out until we had to pack everything for camping. The directions were absolutely horrible. They include directions for 3 different models and don't go very in depth about how to install it without roof racks. If you have roof racks well the directions are almost the entire page!
Firstly you need to place the mat on the car and cut any access mat that is not underneath the carrier. Next fill the carrier with as much as you can but make sure you are able to zip it up and still have the velcro able to close up. You will notice that in order to make sure the velcro is in use you can't fully pack it and it will seem like there is a little space on top that could be filled. Do not be fooled , once you close it up that space is gone. After it is closed and sealed, take one strap and put it over the top of the carrier bag. The clips will need to go through the buckle on each side. It required a little forcing (almost like it's not supposed to go through). Next you need to find a place in your car where the clip will clip on to. A sturdy part of your car. It could be the door frame when the window is down, or right inside the car. I had to remove the molding around the top inside of the car. Inside the molding (which just clips or unclips in place) was the perfect size for the strap clip to hold on to. Do not be scared to remove the molding like I was, it was made to come on and off easily. After both sides are attached to the car just pull the strapping as hard as you can until it is super tight. Make sure to use both straps (one in front and one in back) so they will be going through both the front door and the back door. With the extra strapping after it's tigh tened you need to shut it inside the car when you are done. Otherwise if there is strapping it will flap around and sound like a thunderstorm when you are driving. I did not figure out how to use the strapping without the clips- to me it seemed like it would just not work.

I would have given 5 stars for the product because it was affordable and it did exactly what I needed. I packed 4 folding chairs, 3 luggage bags and extras in the carrier. It did not budge once I figured out how to use it. The only thing I did not like was the directions. Do a practice run and try to figure out how it will attach to your car ahead of time.

5Rightline PackRight Sport Jr. Car Top Carrier
By NatalieJT
I bought this as a gift for my parents and they love it. It's just enough room for them to put extra stuff on long trips all over the U.S. to visit family and friends. They are in retirement mode now and will have a lot of extra time to take those trips and now they can do it more comfortably. I love that it works for cars without the roof racks and will work on small cars as well as larger ones. It was perfect for their needs.
